Beto Lopez is a dedicated public servant, experienced executive, and proud 30-year resident of Lee’s Summit. Currently serving his second term on the City Council and as Mayor Pro Tem, Beto is running for Mayor with a strong record of leadership, fiscal responsibility, and community engagement.

Professionally, Beto is President and CEO of Guadalupe Centers, a nationally respected Latino-serving nonprofit. He brings over 25 years of success in real estate, development, and finance, along with deep roots in local civic service, including the Lee’s Summit Planning Commission, Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary Club.

Beto and his wife, Venessa, an attorney and Lee’s Summit Municipal Judge, raised their three daughters in the community: Dr. Michaela Lopez, M.D.; Celena, an elementary teacher in Blue Springs; and Sophia, who works with St. Luke’s Hospital in Lee’s Summit.

An active member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church for over 25 years, Beto enjoys time with family, local sports, golf, and cheering on the Royals and Chiefs. He’s a passionate believer in Lee’s Summit’s bright future and ready to lead it forward.
